Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 21, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how TowHub collects, uses, shares and deletes personal information when you use towhub.vip, the TowHub app for customers and the TowHub Driver app for tow drivers and company dispatchers (together, the “Services”).
1. Who we are
TowHub is operated by USPROJECT LLC, EIN 83-3989558, a New York limited liability company, United States (“TowHub”, “we”, “us”). The Privacy Officer for USPROJECT LLC is responsible for personal-information protection. Questions, complaints and privacy requests: Privacy Officer, hello@towhub.vip.
TowHub is a marketplace. Towing and roadside services are provided by independent tow companies, not by TowHub. Payments for a tow are made directly to the tow company you choose through Stripe; TowHub only charges for access to its network.
2. Information we collect
- Account information: email address, password (stored only as a secure hash), your name and account identifier if you sign in with Google, preferred language.
- Tow requests (customers): pickup and destination addresses and coordinates, vehicle details (type, make, model and condition), contact phone number, notes for the driver, request history, the company you chose and the bill.
- Photos and videos (customers, optional): up to 5 photos and one video of up to 30 seconds that you choose to attach to a request from your camera or photo library. Tow companies and drivers who receive the request can view them, as can the company you choose. You can delete them while the request is active. Photo files can include information your camera stores, such as where the photo was taken.
- Location (customers): your precise location only when you tap “Use my current location” to fill in the pickup address. You can always type an address instead.
- Location (drivers): precise location (coordinates, accuracy, heading and speed) while you are online or completing a job, including when the TowHub Driver app is minimized. Android shows a persistent notification and iOS shows the location indicator in the status bar during tracking. Tracking stops when you go offline; we do not collect driver location while you are offline.
- Companies and drivers: company profile (legal name, address, service area, trucks and equipment, rates and cancellation policy), names and phone numbers of drivers added by the company, responses to requests, job statuses and bills.
- Payments: card payments are entered on Stripe pages and processed by Stripe; TowHub never receives your full card number. We receive payment status, amounts, the card brand and last four digits, and Stripe customer and payment identifiers.
- In-app purchases: the 24-hour access pass bought in the mobile apps is processed by Google Play or the Apple App Store. We receive the purchase or transaction identifier, product, status and purchase time to grant access; we never receive your Google or Apple payment details.
- Device and technical information: push notification token (Firebase Cloud Messaging), a random installation identifier, app platform and version, and server logs with IP address and request time used for security.
Website analytics: only on towhub.vip and only if you click “Accept” in the cookie banner, we use Google Analytics 4 to count page views and measure how the site is used. Google Analytics sets cookies (_ga, _ga_*) and receives your IP address, browser and device type, approximate location derived from the IP, pages visited and referrer. Advertising features, Google signals and ad personalization are turned off. You can change your choice at any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of the site.
We do not access your contacts, files, health data or browsing history, and we receive only the photos and videos you choose to attach to a request. The mobile apps contain no advertising or analytics SDKs and never load Google Analytics.
3. How we use information
- to provide the Services: create and manage accounts, send your request to suitable tow companies nearby, show their arrival times and prices, and let you choose one;
- to match requests to drivers and trucks by distance, vehicle and equipment, to show the customer the driver approaching, and to help drivers navigate to the job;
- to process access purchases and tow payments through Stripe, including card holds, final charges and cancellation fees set by the tow company;
- to send service messages: email verification, password resets, request updates and push notifications;
- to keep the Services secure, prevent fraud and abuse, resolve disputes and comply with the law.
We do not sell personal information and do not use or share it for targeted advertising.
4. How information is shared
- With tow companies and drivers: when you submit a request, nearby drivers and company dispatchers see the pickup and destination, vehicle details and a price estimate, but not your phone number or notes. After you choose a company, that company and its assigned driver receive your phone number and notes to complete the job.
- With customers: during a job the customer sees the company name, the driver’s name, the truck, the arrival time, the bill and the driver’s live location.
- With service providers that process data for us: Stripe (payments and payouts to tow companies), Google (Sign-In, Firebase Cloud Messaging push notifications and, on the website with your consent, Google Analytics), our hosting and email delivery providers, and OpenStreetMap-based services that turn addresses into coordinates, calculate routes and display map tiles (they receive addresses or coordinates, not your account details).
- When required by law or to protect rights and safety, and as part of a merger or sale of the business, subject to this Policy.
5. Retention
We keep account information while your account is active. Photos and videos attached to a request are deleted 30 days after the request is completed, cancelled or expires. Driver location points are kept with the job they belong to so the customer and the company can review it. When you delete your account we delete your location history, push tokens, sessions and sign-in identities, and remove your email, addresses and phone number from your requests. We keep minimal de-identified records of completed jobs and payments where tow companies, tax or accounting rules, or dispute handling require them.
6. Deleting your account
You can delete your account in the app (Privacy & account → Delete account) or on the web at https://towhub.vip/en/account-deletion. You can also email hello@towhub.vip from the address on your account. An account cannot be deleted while it has an active job; finish or cancel the job first.
7. Your choices and rights
- Location: customers may deny location access and type addresses; drivers can go offline at any time to stop tracking, or change the permission in the phone's settings (Android or iOS).
- Notifications: you can turn push notifications off in the phone's settings (Android or iOS).
- Access, correction and deletion: depending on where you live, including California, other US states, Canada and Québec, you may have the right to know, access, correct, delete or obtain a portable copy of your personal information, withdraw consent where processing relies on consent, and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
- Québec residents may also ask us to stop disseminating or de-index personal information where the legal conditions are met and may complain to the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec. Send a written request to the Privacy Officer at hello@towhub.vip. We will verify the request and respond within the time required by law; Québec access and correction requests are answered within 30 days.
8. Security
Data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections, passwords are hashed, and access to production data is restricted. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.
9. Children
The Services are intended for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact hello@towhub.vip and we will delete it.
10. Where data is processed
TowHub is operated from the United States. Information, including information about Québec residents, may be processed in the United States and in other places where our service providers operate. Privacy and government-access laws there may differ from those where you live.
Before communicating personal information outside Québec, we assess the sensitivity, purpose, safeguards and legal framework and use written agreements and risk controls appropriate to the assessment.
11. Changes
We may update this Policy. We will change the effective date above and, for material changes, notify you in the apps or by email.
